London Museum Exhibition Refurbishment

Triple sweeping flash lines in GRP

Design & Display Structures have been appointed to build a fabulous serpentine feature at a London museum.

Rising from the ground three separate bands twist and meet over the illuminated recessed zone before sweeping in a large arc around the moving image displays where visitors can watch and remember favourite historical moments.

Combining CNC tool making and modular GRP (fibreglass) fabrication the 90m run is constructed in sections suitable to pass through narrow doorways.

Site assembled, joined and suspended from the existing surrounding structures and the new display wall, the final dramatic effect is completed through applied decoration.

On this extremely fast track programme the D&D team, well known for their market leading creative skills in a range of materials, were able to provide their client with 3D Rhino models for approval within days and commence production within a week of the order.
