ORIGINAL PENQUIN shop front entrance: Themed feature cladding panels with embossed logo and lettering

Bespoke modular GRP tile panels

Design & Display Structures were appointed by Coventry based shop fitting company Active Commercial Interiors to design detail, manufacture and install penguin themed tiled panels to decorate around the shop front entrance of ORIGINAL PENQUIN located at Westfield Shopping Centre, Stratford.

D&D worked closely with the main contractor Active and concept designers Tonik Associates to achieve the leather appearance panels with debossed penguin logo and lettering.

A variety of standard and made to measure GRP panels were created to fit in with the pre-installed glazing system.

Rising some 7m tall before travelling across the triangulated soffit, the entire process is more complex than simply hanging standard panels off a wall. The fixing scheme allows for individual tiles to be replaced if vandalised.

Installation was carried out during night shifts by the D&D highly experienced site team to minimise any possible interruption to store trading hours.
